In March of 2006 Four Seasons Florist opened its doors to become the only florist located on the east side of Elmira. Owned and operated by Walter J. Kent, Four Seasons Florist is a full service florist with designers offering over 30 years experience and Hixxson Floral Design School training. We offer free Wedding Consultations, superior customer service, excellent value, creative and innovative designs and the lowest delivery fees in the area. We work with fresh, silk and dried flowers to create the perfect look for any and every occasion. We also offer a full assortment of gift baskets, fruit baskets, home decor and accessories, budget friendly wall art, upper end limited-edition art and many, many more gift ideas.

We are located at the corners of Lake St. and Standish St. (where Madison Ave becomes Lake Street). We are directly across from Big Lots and right next door to Walter J. Kent Funeral Home. We share building space with Lake Street Memorials - so if you can't find us just look for the front lot full of headstones, as we are right next door. We're just blocks away from St. Joseph's Hospital and the downtown business district. Though we are centrally located to downtown Elmira we serve all of Chemung County as well as additional areas within our surrounding counties.

Delivery Fees, Service Charges & Sales Tax: Our delivery fees are among the lowest in the area. Our local delivery prices range from only $4.00 - $8.00, and surrounding areas range from $8.00 - $12.00. We do not charge a delivery fee for orders going to a funeral home or hospital here in Elmira.
To ensure a timely delivery, please place your order by 11:00 am the day you'd like your order delivered. Out of town orders should be received by 10:00 am to ensure same day delivery, otherwise it will go out on our next business day.
Gift and Fruit Basket orders require 24 hour notice.
Sales tax: 8%
Cancellation Policy: Should you need to cancel an order please call immediately to (607) 733-8500. If the order hasn't already gone out for delivery then we will happily cancel the order and refund any payment. We regret though, any orders that have left our store or have been accepted by the recipient can not be cancelled.
Payment: We gladly accept cash, check, Master Card, Visa and offer an in-house charge to approved individuals and businesses.
About Price and Size: Floral arrangements can be created in many sizes while maintaining the same overall theme and appearance. Our catalogs and books typically depict items using a "Good, Better, Best" comparison. Almost all photo's you'll see in our catalogs and on our site will be priced using the "Better", or mid-level price point. You are not obligated to purchase that size and you should know that we can always create an item in a number of sizes which allows us to accommodate nearly any budget We may even ask you "What's your budget?" A question that sometimes makes people cringe but really is only asked to best benefit you, the customer. If we know how much you'd like to spend for a certain occasion we can tailor our work to your budget, never leaving you with a surprise when you get the bill. So please don't be put off if we ask you that, it's just our way of figuring out how to best serve you.
Factors that determine price include:
*Quantity of flowers, foliage and filler
*Quantity or value of add-on items such as candy, balloons, teddy bears, bibles, etc.
*Size and value of the container.
*Seasonal availability of the flowers, fruit, etc.
*Delivery fee, wire service fee when applicable and sales tax.
About the Owner
Four Seasons Florist owner Walter J. Kent opened the flower shop as a way to compliment his Funeral Home located next door at 858 Lake Street in Elmira.
Mr. Kent became a Licensed Funeral Director in New York at age 21 and in Pennslyvania at age 25. He started his career with the Barrett Funeral Home in Elmira where he worked for the Barrett family for eighteen years. At that time, the Barretts sold to a national conglomerate from Houston, TX, and Mr. Kent spent another four years there as manager working for the new owners. In 2002 he left to pursue his dream of owning his own funeral home. He broke ground in September 2002 for the Walter J. Kent Funeral Home located at 858 Lake Street in Elmira. The new funeral home officially opened March 8, 2003.
Each year since 2004 the Walter J. Kent Funeral Home has been honored to serve over 100 families annually.
Mr. Kent is a member of the New York State Funeral Director's Association. Recently he was elected as the Regional Governor for NSFDA which includes his region, the Finger Lakes Region (Cortland, Schuyler, Tompkins, Tioga and Chemung counties), Broome County FDA and Leatherstocking FDA (Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie Counties). He is also on the Member Board of Directors for the "Directors Choice Credit Union" (NYSFDA), the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce and Meals on Wheels of Chemung County.
Our Staff:
Kate Suss-Wrenn is our Master Floral Designer with over thirty years in the business and a student of the prestigious Hixxson Floral Design school.
Mary Cain-Mase assists Kate. Mary comes to us with a background in Interior Design and decorating and is learning how to translate that knowledge and talent to Floral Design.
